| So I want to know what you would want added to the site to make it more fun and Harry Potter like! Maybe there is a shop that I missed and you think that it would be cool to have? Or maybe there is just something that you would like to be able to apply for and I didn't put it up already? Let me know! And we will talk about them during our staff meetings. If not, oh well, you can still learn a little bit about them on here. Along with some pictures you will find several links to contact your admin should anything arise on the site and I am indisposed and unable to reach you through MoE. Please be respectful and if an a Mod or Admin posts a picture do not state any derogatory comments...however flattering they may be ;). Just kidding...behave!

| Harry Potter's fourth year means one thing and one thing only. And that is the Triwizard Tournament! So to organize something such as this dates must be designated for the various challenges as well as the characters that are going to participate. Here is where you will find the dates and the application to apply. Challenge Dates, Challenger Applications | 2 | 2 | Thu Mar 03, 2011 5:47 pm Severus Snape |

| It is here that students learn the subtle and beautiful art that is known as potion making. The classroom is very spacious and seats up to twenty students. Each station has its own cauldron, and all students are required to come prepared with a ready mind and eager attitude. The classroom has a large cauldron in the front, where the students are expected to watch for certain presentations and demonstrations. To the side, there is a small walk-in cupboard where the professor keeps his ingredients for when students run out. Office, Classroom | 2 | 35 | Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:27 pm Miles Maddox Snape |
| The Hogwarts kitchens are located directly below the Great Hall and are just the same size. They have high ceilings and a great brick fireplace at one end. Mounds of brass pots and pans are heaped around the walls. There are preparation tables directly below the four house tables in the Hall above, and when the time comes for the food to be served, it is magically transported through the ceiling of the kitchen onto the plates. The kitchens are staffed by over a hundred house-elves. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of a bowl of fruit. Tickle the pear and it giggles to become a door handle.

| The House Commons is a place where all students can mingle and converse with one another. Because the entry of a Gryffindor in the Slytherin Common Room is forbidden, and vice-versa, this seemed like a good way of uniting the Hogwarts houses and helping them converse with one another more civilly. The House Commons is set up like the individual house common rooms. It is very spacious, with several chairs and couches plump with feathers and ready for the students to lay about on. There is a large crackling fireplace and several quiet areas for the students to talk and do their homework.

| For many, this is the first sight they see once they reach Hogwarts, and it is the one thing that no one ever forgets. Double oak front doors, opening to the West. Large, cavernous room, lit by torches, with ceiling so high it's barely visible. Wide marble staircase opposite the front doors (East wall) leads up to first floor. Four giant hourglasses - one for each House - stand in niches in a corner opposite the main doors. Each hourglass is filled with gemstones rather than sand, one gemstone in the lower bulb for each House Point currently held by that House. Gryffindors' contains rubies, Ravenclaws' sapphires, and Slytherins' emeralds, and Hufflepuffs' yellow diamonds.
| 1 | 2 | Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:25 pm Miles Maddox Snape |
| Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor (this order may possibly be reversed, depending on how you orient the room to the entrance hall). The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

| Even the teachers and staff need their space away from the students. In this long-paneled room the teachers have their before school meetings and conferences to discuss, classes, agendas, and personal affairs that they may choose to share with one another. Students are absolutely not permitted to enter, and anyone that does dare to do such a thing better value what few minutes of freedom they have left.

| At the top of the marble staircase from the ground floor, is the first floor. The Entrance Hall and Great Hall are several stories tall, so they extend into this floor from below. From this floor you find yourself not far from Professor McGonagall's office. Continue down farther, and you are greeted by the Muggle Studies classroom, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and finally the Transfiguration classrooms.

| Pretty self-explanatory, if you ask me. This is the class where Hogwarts students can learn about muggle culture, life-styles, tendencies, and cliches towards magical beings and creatures. The classroom does not require a lot of wand work and most of the class is spent doing things in a more Muggle manner. Office, Classroom | 0 | 0 | |
| The room has windows looking out onto the grounds (out of which the pixies threw Lockhart's wand). An iron chandelier hangs from the ceiling, although it broke loose and fell during the pixie incident. The DADA teacher's office and quarters are located on the second floor. The class provides students with a firm backbone of defending themselves against dark wizards and witches of the era...as well as creatures that may cross their paths should they choose to set out into the Forbidden Forest. Office, Classroom | 1 | 8 | Mon Dec 27, 2010 5:15 pm Guest |
| A class that most students find boring. In History of Magic, students are taught the beginnings of Magics' journey into the world...students also learn of historical battles that took place between magical creatures, wizards, and other memorable happenings in the Wizarding world. Office, Classroom | 0 | 0 | |

| In this corridor, students can be found sitting on benches conversing with one another before the school bell is about to ring. It leads to several different classrooms as well as the infamous Moaning Myrtles Bathroom. Continue a bit farther down and one will find themselves in an empty classroom that is no longer used by teachers.

| The bathroom's wooden cubicles are worn and ill-maintained, and even the stone sinks are chipped. Like many of Hogwarts' rooms - including the opulent prefects' bathroom - the room is candle-lit, but the candles are in holders rather than a chandelier, and there are not enough of them to light the room properly. The sinks, which form a row under a large cracked and spotted mirror, have copper taps, one of which has a tiny snake scratched on the side. Apparently that particular tap is a complete dud when considered as part of the plumbing; it serves another function. In fact, if given the proper password, that particular tap will glow and spin briefly before the entire sink drops down out of sight to expose the large pipe leading to the Chamber of Secrets.

| When one enters the third floor corridor, it is advised that they try and remain as quiet as possible. A little farther down, students are greeted with the sight of the Hospital Wing as well as the Charms classroom several hallways down.
| 1 | 3 | Mon Dec 20, 2010 11:59 pm Ashton Michaels |
| Greeting students with large, wooden, double-doors, the Hospital Wing is where students and staff go if they have been hurt or are under the weather. The large room holds many beds for patients that must remain overnight, and is also visited by Healers at St. Mungo's when certain epidemics break out. The Hospital Wing is usually lit at night with torches, but in the day time the natural light pours in from outside because of its big open windows.

| The Charms classroom is where students learn a basic form a magic. Charms are a type of magic spell concerned with enchanting an object to behave in a way that isn't normal for that object. For example, the Summoning Charm brings an object to the caster. In this class, students are also taught the proper wand movements for certain spells, pronunciations, and various uses these spells could hold in their day to day life. The classroom is very spacious as well, giving the students their own amount of room when it comes to performing certain spells. | When entering the Fourth Floor Corridor, a student is lucky enough to see the entrance to the Library not far down the hall. This corridor is one of the more changed floors of Hogwarts, because along with the original Ancient Runes class, the Headmaster had also added two new alternative classes. One of them being a magical art and appreciation class, the other being a musical theory class.

| The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse this section of the library. The library books have various spells on them to prevent students from defacing or stealing them, and food it absolutely FORBIDDEN inside these stone walls.

| Art is as defined in Hogwarts, as it is in the Muggle World. The pictures around the school were painted by brilliant artists and even so, every student needs their own creative outlet. The class is fairly new, but is open for students of all years to join. The classroom is large and spacious and seats up to fifty students. Every student is set near the art project of their choice. Whether it be a large block of clay, a magical easel, or something as simple as a sketch pad and a pencil. Office, Classroom | 4 | 12 | Sat Apr 30, 2011 12:55 pm Michelle Fletcher |
| In this class, students are taught a multitude of different instruments, as well as are required to join the Hogwarts Choir. This class teaches students a firm backbone of both Muggle and magical artists throughout the ages. You will perform in front of your classmates, as well as the whole school at the Start of Term Feast. The classroom seats up to twenty students. The desks are lined up in even rows and can be moved for when performing or practicing takes place. The classroom has its own natural lighting because of the large glass windows that sit on the far side of the room. Office, Classroom | 1 | 2 | Sat Mar 05, 2011 6:50 pm Guest |
| This class can only be taken by third year students and up. It guides students in the learning of magical runic scriptures. The class focuses on a mostly theoretical subject, that studies the ancient runic scripts of magic, and is a very complicated class to take. Office, Classroom | 0 | 0 | |

| On this floor, there are a multitude of classes. The first one a student is greeted with, is the Magical Items and Devices class. The hallway stretches farther down and continues toward the Mythology classes, as well as the Prefects Bathroom. The halls are dimly lit with torches and scattered around the corridor are large suits of armor. Students often find themselves harassed by Peeves, so all who enter beware.

| In this room, the students are taught the use and dangers of different objects used in the wizarding world. Some vary from light to dark magic, and others are there to help the young wizard manage their life easier. It is not a required course, but many students find that it is beneficial to them and an overall joy to take. Office, Classroom | 0 | 0 | |
| Inside, the bathrooms' walls, floor, and single sunken bathtub are all made of white marble, lit softly by a candle-filled chandelier. The rectangular tub is the size and depth of a swimming pool, and even has a diving board. But unlike an ordinary pool, the tub is lined with about a hundred taps, each with a differently colored jewel set into the handle. Each tap automatically releases not only water, but bubble bath (a different kind of bubble bath for each color-coded handle). A pile of fluffy white towels are kept in one corner.

| A class focused on the myths that both muggle and wizard have shared alike! It focuses on mainly Greek and Roman mythology, but reveals the little twists that the muggles had left out when re-telling the tales to their generations. Because it is a more enjoyable class than others, it is only available to third through seventh years. | This floor doesn't have much going on for it. The bathrooms are on this floor, as are a couple of the storage rooms the school has desperately needed. All in all, this floor is more or less the one that students just walk through to get to the towers. The occasional duel may occur here because it is so empty, but other than that, this floor is fairly uneventful.

| If I really have to explain this to students, I swear I have lost all hope in the teenage population. It is a bathroom and probably one of the least magical sections that the school holds, however for the boys it is a chance to get away from the trivial behavior of teenage girls.

| It is a room that holds most of the schools junk. However, most students go in here when they are looking for something of value or partial use to them...or when they are trying to hide something from wandering eyes. It is a large room but a person cannot go two feet without bumping into something that someone had placed there, either the previous day or past year.
| 2 | 12 | Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:32 am Harry Potter |
| Again, I am not going to explain this room. It is for the young ladies of Hogwarts to use as they see fit and possibly get away from the idiocy that is known as the boy population of Hogwarts.

| One of the more eventful floors of Hogwarts, this floor is home to the Room of Requirement, the Gryfindor Common Room, the Divination Classroom, the Astronomy Classroom and much more. The floor is very well lit in the day because of the large windows that have been adorned into the walls and is usually crowded with students. It has a very warm feel to it at night, but is admittedly the place where the most prefects seem to hide.

| The Room of Requirement is a magical room that can only be discovered by someone who is in need. It is called the Come and Go Room by the House-Elves. The room is opposite a tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls how to dance the ballet. To make the Room appear, a student needs to simply walk past the section of the wall three times, concentrating on what it is they so urgently need.

| At the base of the North Tower, there is a ladder through a ceiling trapdoor to take students to their Divination Class. It was at one time a class that only third years through seventh years could take, but after a curriculum change, the class has been made open to all years that want to take it. The classroom is one large round room and holds a fireplace that always seems to have a copper kettle sitting upon it. The walls are aligned with shelves, tea cups, crystal balls, decks of cards and other items that could help a wizard or witch "glance into the future". Each student is as at a small round table in a comfortable chair, which makes it hard to keep the students attention. Office, Classroom | 0 | 0 | |
| The office of Severus Snape, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His office is one that NO student should want to enter, and if they do better pray that it wasn't for anything punishable by expulsion. The living quarters of the Headmaster remain as Professor Dumbledore had left them and more often than not, Headmaster Snape takes up room in his old quarters down in the Dungeons. It is a large, open room with many windows to give it beautiful lighting. Fawkes sits perched near the Headmaster's desk, keeping a close eye to make sure that he follows up on the past Headmaster's wishes while he is at the Ministry.

| The Astronomy classroom is a circular room located on the top-most level of the Astronomy Tower. Accessed via a steep spiral stairway, this room is where Astronomy classes and practical examinations are held in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On the center of the room, there is a large armillary sphere and replica of the Earth. Crenelated ramparts and iron security railings are placed on the edge of the Tower, where students gaze the skies with their telescopes. Small decorative stone cherubs carrying celestial bodies and peering through telescopes are perched on the walls. Some glass cabinets located by the door are filled with astronomical devices and celestial models. A short flight of stairs leads to a smaller observatory where a fixed telescope is in place. | Herbology is the study of magical and mundane plants and fungi. In Herbology, students learn to care for and utilize plants, and learn about their magical properties, and what they are used for. Many plants provide ingredients for potions and medicine, while others have magical effects in their own right. | Located to the south of the castle, the lake is approximately half a mile in diameter. The water splashes against the grassy shore as students sit around it, marveling at its tranquility and beauty. The Black Lake is also home to many magical creatures, one of the more commonly known, being the Giant Squid. The Squid is a kind creature and cared for by the Grounds Keeper on a daily basis. The Black Lake is the spot most students choose to admire nature and enjoy a warm Spring day, and in the Winter, it is not uncommon to see a large group of ice skaters on its frozen top.

| Home to many wonderful and potentially dangerous plants. The greenhouses are opened to all students, but it is suggested that you do not take an ingredient without asking permission. The greenhouses are very large and kept at a very warm and muggy setting, so that the magical plants and herbs can grow fully and be ready for potions class when the students require them.

| To the east of Hogwarts Castle is the large, dark, Forbidden Forest. The forest is strictly off-limits to Hogwarts students, unless they are being escorted through by a teacher. The forest is thick with trees and a very deep undergrowth of knotgrass and thorns. There is the occasional path and brook, however students usually never seem to find these. It is not recommended to go any farther than that though, because of the various magical creatures that inhabit the forest and might consider other magical beings to be at threat...or an evening meal.

| The Owlery is where all the schools' owls are located. It is a very drafty, circular room, that has windows with no glass in them. The floor is entirely covered in straw, as well as other things the students would probably prefer NOT stepping in.

| Diagon Alley is a cobble-stoned, wizarding shopping area located in London, England, behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. It holds a variety of assorted restaurants, wizarding shops and other interesting attractions. Most students journey here to get their school supplies and books, however it is not uncommon to see people enjoying an ice cream or a cup of tea at a local tea shop. The Apothecary, Eeylops Owl Emporium, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, Flourish and Blotts, Gambol & Japes, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Leaky Cauldron, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, Magical Menagerie, Olivander's Wand Shop, Quality Quidditch Supplies | 12 | 177 | Wed May 18, 2011 11:11 pm Isaac Collins |
| The entrance to St. Mungo's is concealed behind an abandoned red-brick London department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. on a Muggle street. Inside, in a reception area filled with rickety wooden chairs and outdated issues of Witch Weekly, visitors are greeted by the Welcome Witch, though her demeanor (at least on busy days) is less than welcoming. This reception area seems to double as a visitors' entrance and an emergency room waiting area, as it is often filled with wizards facing strange ailments, such as hands sprouting out of their chests or steam pouring from their mouths, and Healers clad in uniform lime green robes hurry busily through the room.

It is beautiful and tranquil, but also contains several dark secrets that dwell deep within.
