Ashwin strolled out to the lake, book in hand. It was a sunny day, but it wasn't too hot, nor was it too chilly. In fact, it was rather the perfect temperature to be strolling about with friends and loved ones. If he had any of those, he probably would be out strolling with them as well. As it turned out, he wasn't particularly close to anyone, so he didn't see the need to walk around the lake.
Clasping the book to his chest, he used one arm to pull himself onto a branch in a tree that was near the lake. This way, he was hidden by the leaves in case anyone wanted to bother him, and he could see the sky and read at the same time. He leaned against the trunk of the tree, crossing his feet at his ankle. He didn't care if he fell or not, and it was rather comfortable just laying in the tree. He opened his book to the last page he was on and peered up at the sky before reading.
He had just enough sunlight that he could see, and the sounds of laughter around him brought a smile to his face. Yes, it was not too loud, but not too quiet. Though he usually preferred silence, he didn't like the white noise surrounding his ears that it brought on. No, if he had just a bit of noise, then he was good. He nodded to himself before he began to read his book.
