“Let’s go,” Cambria said, smiling. They wouldn’t get into trouble just by hanging out in the classroom. And Cam had definitely had enough trouble to last a lifetime. But at least they could find something fun to do that they both enjoyed.
Cambria stood up and opened the door for Terena. It was sort of late to be out of the common room, but she wasn’t worried. It wasn’t like they’d be pulling any pranks or anything, the way that awful git Miles Maddox had done to her last year. Although if she saw him, she might contemplate retaliation. It had taken her hours in the hospital wing to feel better after that bubotuber pus had exploded all over her body. And she still could not forgive him. Not until he at least confessed to being one of the instigators. She sighed as she continued walking down the hall toward the art classroom.
“You coming, Terena?” She asked softly.
But then she heard footsteps and all thoughts of not breaking any rules vanished. They would surely get detention if they were caught by a teacher or a prefect out of their common room this late. She stopped cold in her tracks, nowhere for her to go, nothing to do but wait and see who was coming.
